Château Pichon-Longueville Comtesse de Lalande was purchased in 2007 by the Rouzaud family, owners of Champagne Louis Roederer, who have significantly invested in the winemaking facility and replanting the vineyard strategically.
Nicolas Glumineau: General Manager and Winemaker joined the château in 2012 to help the team produce some of the best examples of Bordeaux wine.
Nicolas has described the wine as “an iron fist in a velvet glove.” This sentence matched well with the style of Pichon Lalande; it is a wine of great power and structure but maintains a perfect elegance and velvety tannin structure.
Today, Sotheby’s Wine is happy to share a selection of wines from Pichon Lalande spanning from 2001 to the great 2019, also including the 2018 Réserve de la Comtesse which offers incredible value.
