Italian Icons for the Holidays

The only thing better than the greatest wines from the greatest producers in Italy is the same wines, with bottle age. We're pleased to offer a range of top Italians with at least a decade in bottle for your immediate consumption. From Barolo, Aldo Conterno's Romirasco 2006 and Cicala 2013 are in fine form today, as are Giacomo Conterno's Cerretta 2011 and, if you can reach for it, the great Monfortino from 2005. Staying in the north, we are also delighted to offer two vintages of the rare Amarone Lodoletta from Dal Forno.

Moving south, the Mediterranean warmth allows the Super Tuscans to offer greater accessibility when young. The sister properties of Ornellaia (Cabernet Sauvignon-led) and Masseto (Merlot) both reach new heights in the brilliant Tuscan vintages of 2020 and 2021 respectively. And if you prefer large formats, we offer both wines in older vintages. Whatever your Italian needs, we've got you covered.
