An Exemplary Range
Probably the most sought-after of all red Burgundy villages, finding classic Vosne-Romanée is becoming an increasingly difficult task. One grower we think flies a little under the radar is Domaine Jean-Marc Millot. Alix Millot is making an exemplary range of Vosne-Romanée wines that express their vineyard origins beautifully, in a pure, finessed style. Like all good Burgundy, they show intensity without weight and a charming perfume.
Of our current inventory, I draw particular attention to the handful of 2017s still remaining in stock, a lovely mid-weight vintage almost sold through now; and to the well priced Echézeaux and Clos Vougeot grands crus.
