Château Lafite in Large Format

The only thing better than Bordeaux's finest First Growth, Château Lafite, is Lafite in large format. And that's what we're delighted to offer at Sotheby's Wine. Lafite has always been celebrated, even more than its First Growth peers, for the purity of terroir expression and exquisite detail and finesse of its wines. In this climate change era, even the alcohol levels are different: virtually never exceeding 13%. It's a terroir unlike any other on Bordeaux's Left Bank.

In magnum format, we can offer, for attractive prices, both the exuberant 2018 and the more restrained 2020 vintages. Remaining with the 2020, a double magnum would easily satisfy a dinner party for six or eight, while a 6L imperial bottle represents the equivalent of 8 regular bottles. Now that's a statement. You could also compare the 2020 with the 2019 in imperial format; the latter, a marginally fresher but still generous vintage.
