Collection: World-Conquering Riesling from Egon Müller

The magnificent Scharzhofberg vineyard is the source of one of the world's great white wines: Egon Müller's Riesling. This ancient vineyard, likely dating back to Roman times, is in the Saar subregion of the Mosel valley. Facing south, with old vines on steep slate slopes, all the elements for Riesling greatness are present and the masterful Müller does not disappoint.

The combination of low alcohol, a light body and an intense concentration that characterise the best German Rieslings is here in abundance. Furthermore, there is an intense minerality and spiciness that sets these dazzling wines apart.

Müller produces the full spectrum of off-dry Rieslings, from the delicate Kabinett to the richly layered Auslese, showcasing the versatility of the site and the variety. We are pleased to offer a selection from the 2020 and 2022 vintages, ready to be drunk with pleasure today. But note, too, these are some of the world's most long-lived whites, developing only ever greater beauty and complexity over the years with time.

Secure your selection of Müller's remarkable Rieslings today with Sotheby’s latest release.
