The Flavor of Spring: Sauvignon Blanc

No variety hails the coming of springtime like Sauvignon Blanc. From the grassy, herbal tones of its Loire Valley expression to the rich, tropical fruited style of Napa, it captures the freshness and verve of spring like nothing else.

For classic Sancerre, look no further than the mouthwatering freshness and zippy citrus notes of Bailly Reverdy’s 2022 effort. For something more cerebral, Pascal Cotat’s Monts Damnes offers subtle layers of minerality and bay leaf overtop of the grape’s signature freshness.

In the new world, Peter Michael’s “L’Apres-Midi” finds Sauvignon at it’s most hedonistic, positively radiant with notes of mango, bosc pear, and pineapple jam.

For a style somewhere in between, do not miss our deep selection of Bordeaux Blanc, including new releases of Aile d’Argent and Domaine de Chevalier, plus back vintages from Smith Haut Lafite.
