Collection: Simply the Best: Leflaive Grands Crus

The extensive holdings that Domaine Leflaive is fortunate to possess among the Montrachet Grands Crus almost make me think that we know what these vineyards are capable of because of Leflaive. Of course, there are other great producers here, but Leflaive’s consistent brilliance across the years shines a light on these most celebrated of white wine vineyards.

We have a handful of bottles in stock at present. Bâtard is usually the most opulent, hedonistic of the commonly seen trio; a wine of luxury and pleasure. Bienvenues, from its tiny three-hectare parcel in the northeast corner of Bâtard, tends to be a bit more racy; perhaps not surprising given it neighbors the minerally Pucelle Premier Cru. Finally, Chevalier is (excepting Le Montrachet itself) the most complete Grand Cru in the neighborhood; a wine of magisterial depth and usually, visceral excitement. These vineyards are hallowed ground in French wine; Leflaive’s examples explain why.
