Pichon Baron: An Enviable Terroir

In its location opposite Château Latour, Château Pichon Baron has one of the most enviable gravel terroirs in Pauillac. And yet somehow we don’t hear as much about it as its namesake neighbour, Pichon Comtesse de Lalande, across the street. Probably because of the relatively small (12-15,000 cases) production of Grand Vin per year. Whatever the reason, Pichon Baron is today producing one of the best wines in Pauillac: concentrated and powerful with deep, complex flavours and an endless finish. This is one of the great testimonies to the Cabernet variety in Bordeaux.

We are pleased to present an exciting selection of Pichon Baron: the 2015, known for its elegance and balance; the 2018, a powerful expression of the terroir; and the 2019, combining richness with finesse. Each of these wines will benefit from decanting, allowing their rich aromas to fully develop.
