Domaine Henri Richard is not a household name to red Burgundy drinkers in the States, not least due to very limited supply available. But this Gevrey-Chambertin producer is well worth your attention due both to their excellent Grand Cru holdings and lovely winemaking.

The estate is managed by Richard and Sarah Bastien, the fourth generation of this winemaking family. An early adopter of organic viticulture, the domaine has been certified organic since 2005. Their most celebrated sites are the neighboring Grands Crus of Mazoyères and Charmes-Chambertin. These wines show great perfume, thanks to the use of whole cluster grapes, a velvety texture and complex, savory finishes. In other words, impeccable Gevrey Grand Cru.
