Left Bank:

Esprit de Chevalier Rouge 2018

Lower left bank enthusiasts will welcome the well-concentrated polish of 2018 Esprit de Chevalier Rouge. This second wine of Domaine de Chevalier features a classic Graves bouquet of mulled cherries, leafy herbs, and loamy earth.

Armailhac 2018

A plush nose and a powerful palate. Huge structure for this wine, all coated with ample fruit. Quite austere because of those tannins and certainly will need a bit longer than usual for this wine. But could be quite an epic. Ambitious and successful, and will probably prove a landmark Armailhac.

Right Bank:

Saintayme 2017

Saintayme is an elegant entry-level cuvée from the late Denis Durantou of L’Église-Clinet. With plush fruit on a leaner frame, this medium-bodied expression of Merlot offers a juicy core of dark red plum and mulberry, an excellent companion for an array of seasonal fall dishes.
