Collection: Best Bordeaux Drinkers Under $50

Everyone knows that Bordeaux makes some of the best wines in France. But the region probably also produces France's best value wines as well. The sheer size of the area suitable for high-quality vineyards means there is ample supply at modest prices.

From the Right Bank, the families behind many of the great properties also produce wonderful value options from other sites. The Vauthier family, of Ausone, for example, also supply the sumptuous Moulin St. Georges and irresistible Fonbel. The Durantous of Eglise-Clinet make Saintayme and Cruzelles, two gorgeous Merlot-led wines that will delight any lover of the Right Bank.

Over on the Left Bank, wines like Beaumont (near St. Julien) and Capbern (St. Estèphe) contain ample savory earthiness to satisfy Cabernet fans. Look out too for second wines or other relations of famous wines: Madame de Beaucaillou, Baron de Brane or Pastourelle de Clerc Milon: all offer splendid drinking at approachable prices.
