Collection: Agrapart: Gems from the Côte des Blancs

Established way back in 1894, Agrapart has long been a true Grower Champagne: producing wine under the family label, rather than selling grapes. In recent times, Agrapart has come to be recognised by Champagne lovers as among the finest growers. The magic starts, as ever, with the land. Agrapart is located in Avize, in the heart of the Côte des Blancs, and owns 9.5 hectares (22 acres) of vines in surrounding villages. The chalky soils here produce Chardonnay wines of laser-like focus and mineral intensity.

The best place to start is with the 7 Crus, a non-vintage blend of seven sites that showcases the precise, pure style of the domaine. Terroirs is likewise a non-vintage blend of sites, but this time only from top villages of the Côte des Blancs (Avize, Oger, Cramant, Oiry). Minéral is a signature wine in the Agrapart lineup; a blend of two sites on pure chalk in Avize and Cramant. Vénus comes from a single tiny plot in Avize called La Fosse; the wine combines richness and finesse.

Finally, we offer a couple of the more unusual wines in the lineup: Complantée, meaning different varieties ‘co-planted’. In this case, the three famous Champagne varieties supplemented by the lesser-known Pinot Blanc, Arbane and Petit Meslier: a different Champagne flavour profile. Finally, Experience is as close to a natural wine as Champagne can be: nothing added, not even sugar or yeast for the second fermentation. A broad range of wines are available then, and all with the panache and class of this great Champagne domaine.
