Collection: A Benchmark Vintage: Cristal 2008

Of all the prestige Champagne cuvées, Louis Roederer's Cristal is the one that drags me back, time and again, with its subtleties and intricacies. Not here the bombast of Krug or the Dom Pérignon flintiness. Cristal always feels very natural; very unforced; unfolding on the palate in a particularly effortless way. The only thing better is when it comes from a great vintage.

We are fortunate still to have in stock some of that landmark vintage, 2008; a year still to be bettered in the current century. What's more, the house has recently released the extended age 2008, with disgorgement after almost 13 years sur latte. These late-release Cristals are some of the most dazzling Champagnes available; coupled with this historic vintage, and released to celebrate the house's 150th year, this is a landmark – and very limited! – bottling that will be coveted by all Cristal lovers.
