Tuscany has been blessed with a series of strong recent vintages, and, coupled with recent developments in winemaking intended to produce fresher and less heavy wines, the quality is better than ever. We keep a broad Tuscan range in stock, spanning the Sangiovese classics to the top Super Tuscans.
In Montalcino, Fattoria dei Barbi is on top form; their 2019s are models of finesse and controlled power. If you prefer a little more age, how about the hard-to-find Cerbaiona from the celebrated 2004 vintage?
Among the Super Tuscans, the 'kitchen sink' blend that is Caiarossa is finally winning the fans its complexity deserves, and for a reasonable price; while Tignanello has never lacked for attention. The 2022 is another in a long line of successful vintages. From the Ornellaia stable, we have large formats of both Ornellaia in a range of recent vintages, and far more scarce, Masseto. A 3-liter double magnum of Masseto 2020? That's quite the statement.
