We're pleased to present a limited quantity offer of Cappellano Barolo, one of Piedmont’s sought-after wines. Founded in the late 19th century, Cappellano has remained steadfast in its traditionalist approach, resisting trends and scores in favor of authenticity and patience. The late Teobaldo Cappellano was a visionary; today, his son Augusto continues this legacy with humility and quiet excellence.
Now Available (Extremely Limited):
– Barolo “Rupestris”
– Barolo “Pie Franco” (ungrafted vines)
These wines are never rated, in accordance with the family’s philosophy that wine is a cultural artifact, not a commodity. They are vinified slowly, aged in large casks, and released only when deemed ready. The “Pie Franco”, from ungrafted vines planted in Gabutti, is often called one of Barolo’s most singular expressions.
For lovers of traditional Barolo, Cappellano is essential.
