Domaine de Chevalier: Bordeaux’s Timeless Jewel

Wine Team New York |

A visit to Domaine de Chevalier is always a highlight in Bordeaux. Hidden within the forests of Pessac-Léognan, this Grand Cru Classé estate produces both exceptional reds and renowned whites. The reds are understated gems – supple and aromatic, with a refined mineral finish – while the whites are among the most celebrated in the region.

We are thrilled to offer a selection of red wines from exceptional vintages that highlight the estate’s finesse and commitment to quality. The 2010 and 2012 display classic Bordeaux elegance, drinking beautifully now; while the stunning 2016, a “legendary Chevalier in the making” according to Jeb Dunnuck, earned scores of up to 99 points. Give the younger vintages a few more years to evolve, but if you decant them for an hour, you'll be rewarded with a wonderfully satisfying Bordeaux.

Under the leadership of Olivier Bernard, Domaine de Chevalier has embraced biodynamic farming and elite craftsmanship, earning praise from Vinous as "one of the crown jewels of Bordeaux.” Whether for immediate enjoyment or long-term cellaring, these wines represent outstanding quality and value.
