Château Lafite Rothschild – Pauillac Preeminence

Château Lafite Rothschild – Pauillac Preeminence

Wine Team New York |
Drinking a glass of Lafite is a marvel. The wines of Pauillac may be powerful and tannic and, while Lafite displays the wondrous typicity expected of Pauillac (as well as of a First Growth), it is the wine’s charm, grace and seductive perfume that puts it in a class of its own.

What to expect from Lafite: refinement and polish. Lafite differentiates in its elegance, depth and stunning aromatics. It is forward and generous in its own right; however, the wine retains a remarkable and extraordinary finesse, grace, and elegance. And, however prolonged, Lafite invariably continues to improve, evolve and reward the most patient among us.

Generally, from the best vintages, such as 1986, 1996 or 2005, the wine can take decades to mature. The 1986 is exquisite now and reveals the finer nuances and subtleties representative of mature-Lafite. And the 2003 is one of the best wines of the vintage, showing remarkably well right now for such a young wine.
