Brilliant Burgundy from Drouhin

Joseph Drouhin remains one of the most enjoyable sources of classic Burgundy in both colours. Whatever the vintage, Drouhin turns out supple, elegant wines that are pure expressions of their terroir. Always a joy to drink, the wines remain fairly priced too.

Starting at the top, the iconic Grands Crus of the domaine are the outstanding Clos de Bèze, Clos de Vougeot, and Griotte-Chambertin – all in red – considered among the best wines of Burgundy. Among the Premiers Crus, the Chambolle is always a treat, and the Beaune Clos des Mouches the flagship of the domaine. The village wines, especially the Puligny and Santenay, offer attractively open, early drinking pleasure.
