Earlier this month, we had the pleasure of hosting Charles Van Canneyt of Domaine Hudelot-Noëllat for an unforgettable evening at Coco’s by Colette. Michelin-acclaimed Chef Phillipe Orrico curated a special menu, perfectly paired with wines from both Domaine Hudelot-Noëllat and Domaine des Chezeaux.
During this exclusive dinner, Charles shared the rich history of his family estate and exciting news of his recent acquisition: Domaine des Chezeaux. We were thrilled to be among the first in the US to taste the 2023 vintage, which marks its first under this new ownership, with an initial release of just three exceptional wines (more to come for the 2024 vintage):
Gevrey-Chambertin Clos des Chezeaux Monopole
Gevrey-Chambertin Premier Cru Les Cazetiers
Griotte-Chambertin
Domaine Hudelot-Noëllat, the iconic family domaine based in Vougeot, is expertly run by Charles, who crafts elegant and classic wines from some of the region's most prized vineyards. Charles has been focusing on producing refined Burgundy that emphasizes purity, finesse, and expression of terroir with minimal intervention in the cellar.
All wines from Hudelot-Noëllat are available for immediate purchase in NY, including a very rare and limited quantity of Malconsort (only produced in Magnum) and Romanée-Saint-Vivant.
The 2023 Domaine des Chezeaux will be available for delivery in 2026, pending the tariff situation at the time of release from the winery.
