Collection: This is Huge: Bordeaux in Massive Bottles

No other wine region bottles such a proportion of its production in large-format bottles as Bordeaux does. Bordeaux is the region to go to for all your wedding, anniversary and other parties; the home of those huge bottles that will awe your guests. We have dozens of oversized bottles from the region in stock, awaiting a celebration. I highlight a few notable options below.
6L Imperial bottle = 8 regular bottles
An imperial bottle for $400? Yes sir. Right bank options in abundance from St. Emilion (Puy-Blanquet and Corbin) and from Pomerol, Château de Sales, including from the splendid 2015 vintage. Or how about a white for the first course? From the mighty Haut-Brion stable, Clarté is the second white wine of both La Mission and Haut-Brion, offering zesty, creamy refreshment.
A range of Left Bank classics in red are also available: Rauzan-Ségla and Lynch-Bages 2018 for example; while climbing the quality ladder, Château Margaux and Mouton-Rothschild in the celebrated 2016 vintage look particularly appealing.
9L Salmanazar bottle = 12 regular bottles
A full case equivalent of Grand Puy Lacoste 2016 for $1,150 looks like an excellent deal; in Margaux, Rauzan-Ségla 2019 is a top wine of the vintage; aromatic and classy.
12L Balthazar = 16 regular bottles
Pontet-Canet and its glossy fruited style triumphed in 2019; this will appeal to everyone from expert wine lovers to more casual drinkers.
15L Nebuchadnezzar = 20 regular bottles
We have plenty of options here, including glorious Château Canon, now at the top of the St. Emilion tree, and still priced under $3,000 for the 2019 vintage. Elsewhere in the village, the wonderful Figeac and regal Cheval Blanc complete the lineup of Right Bank stars. Back on the Left Bank, two St. Estèphe legends, Calon-Ségur and Cos d’Estournel, will satisfy fans of the Cabernet Sauvignon-dominant style.
18L Melchior bottle = 24 regular bottles
I note here the wonderful examples of the 2019 vintage, a year successful both for the quality of the wines, and for the attractive pricing. Do not expect to find better prices elsewhere for Calon-Ségur, Rauzan-Ségla, Canon or Figeac!
