The village of Vosne-Romanée specialises in magnificent Grands Crus owned by one producer only. The best-known of these monopoles are Romanée-Conti and La Tâche. However, neighboring both is another lesser-known Grand Cru that deserves the attention of Burgundy drinkers: La Grande Rue.
Sandwiched between La Romanée, Romanée-Conti and La Tâche, La Grande Rue is a small strip of 1.65ha (3.5 acres) belonging entirely to Domaine Nicole Lamarche. Nicole's winemaking style is pure Vosne-Romanée: ethereal and silky with spicy depths. In other words: irresistible. The wines are accessible relatively early, so don't hesitate to try a bottle of any of the vintages we have available.
