We are pleased to offer a delightful range of maturing wines from Domaine Antoine Jobard, a producer with outstanding holdings in the village of Meursault and around the Côte de Beaune. Previously an all-white domaine, the 2019 purchase of the Mussy estate in Pommard introduced reds for the first time. The Pommard wines and the rarely-seen Beaune Montrevenots Premier Cru bely the old-fashioned notion of Pommard as a dense, burly wine; these reds are finessed and charming.
But it is the whites for which the domaine is famous, particularly the Meursault parcels. These are made in a tense, concentrated style, with a savoury undertow: this is proper, grown-up white Burgundy. Don't miss the St. Aubin wines either; these offer great value introductions to the domaine, and with vintages from 2016 to 2020, all can be readily enjoyed today.
